Piano Restoration – Our tour de force

Our piano house offers the only master workshop in the Trier region – and can therefore provide you with the best possible service.

Over more than 100 years ago, piano makers tried to construct the ideal piano – with success. Hence, nothing much has changed within the traditional art of piano making during the last 70 to 80 years.

Then, as now, parts of the action, such as the dampers and the hammerheads, are subject to wear-and-tear and periodically require replacement, depending on their age and frequency of use. New strings, new pins, a new pin block and the professional repair of of a damaged sounding board ensure that the instrument stays in tune.

If you have a good, solid instrument, it is worth the effort and investment to restore your piano or grand piano to an as-good-as-new condition. Whether you desire a specific surface finish or a particular sound character or style of play – we can renovate your instrument exactly according to your preferences.

Thus, it is possible to transform a awful sounding “pub piano” into an fine-sounding instrument with character that you would usually in instruments beyond the € 10,000.00 range.

We are more than happy to prepare and submit a cost estimate for you and would gladly give you a personal tour through our piano master workshop.
