Steinway & Sons is a well-known and respected manufacturer of grand pianos and upright pianos. The company was founded by Henry E. Steinway and his sons in New York in 1853. Since 1853, Steinway & Sons has revolutionized piano manufacturing with more than 125 patents. “Steinway & Sons” grand and upright pianos are manufactured in New York and Hamburg under the guiding principle that Henry E. Steinway chose as his quality standard: “To build the best piano possible”.
The M-170 model gives the music its very own, unmistakable character. Compared to its smaller sister model S-155, it achieves even more tonal flexibility thanks to longer strings and a larger soundboard.
This special grand piano was built back in 1950 and is currently being completely restored in our workshop.
Equipped with a new black and Macassar polished finish with chrome fittings, silver-colored cast iron plate and silver bass strings, this grand piano is an absolute eye-catcher! This grand piano also has a very beautiful ivory keyboard and the corresponding Cites documents.
